Alyssa is a Toronto-based, New York-born author, freelance writer, and copywriter. Her debut book, Secrets of Giants: A Journey to Uncover the True Meaning of Strength (Avery/Penguin Random House), was featured in The New York Times and Publishers Weekly, among others. Her work has appeared in The New York Times, Elle, GQ, Self, Slate, The Globe & Mail, Outside, and others.
Alyssa has written copy for companies including Telus, RBC, Daily Burn, and others.
She is a mom, strongman competitor, endurance athlete (six marathons & an Ironman), rock climber, CrossFitter, and former member of the Jersey City Bridge & Pummel roller derby team. Her third child is a sourdough starter named Jon Bon Doughvi.
